Artistry by Anna has been changing lately, and I wanted to share a little update about what I'm creating and, more importantly, who I'm creating it for.
I absolutely love designing things for 3D printing. Charms, keychains, bookmarks, book covers and all the other little ideas that somehow find their way out of my head and onto my computer. š
But I've realised that what I really want to do is create designs that other makers can use in their own small businesses too.
So that's the direction Artistry by Anna is taking!
Buy the Design Once, Print & Sell Your Creations
My 3D print files are being designed with makers and small businesses in mind.
When you purchase one of my commercial-use designs, you can use the files to create physical products that you can sell.
That might mean printing them for:
š· Your market stallš· Your eBay shopš· Your Etsy shopš· Your own websiteš· Craft fairs and local eventsš· Your small handmade business
Designed With Real 3D Printing in Mind
When I'm designing, I'm thinking about the things that matter when the file eventually reaches a printer: colours, small details, thickness, how pieces fit together and whether a design is practical to print.
I hate looking up fun things to print for myself or for my kids and finding AI generated junk that needs to be hand painted in the slicer and a bunch of supports that are a pain to take off, so all of my designs are drawn by hand, each part is designed to be fully coloured so you don't have to sit there painting it, and very very few ever need supports at all.
I especially love creating colourful designs that can become fun little products without requiring complicated finishing afterwards.
Some of the things you'll find me designing include charms, keychains, bookmarks, book covers, signs, desk accessories and plenty of other ideas as they pop into my head.
Why I'm Making This Change
I love the idea that one design I create here at home can eventually become part of lots of other little businesses.
Someone might download one of my charm collections, print a batch and take them to their weekend market.
Someone else might turn one of my designs into keychains for their online shop.
Another person might simply enjoy printing them for themselves.
There's something really lovely about that.
I'm not just designing something for one person to make once.
I'm creating little building blocks that other creative people can turn into products of their own.
So, What's Coming Next?
Lots.Ā š
I'll be sharing my newest designs here on the blog, along with behind-the-scenes peeks at what I'm making, 3D printing experiments, things I'm learning about designing and printing, ideas for using my files and hopefully some genuinely useful information for other makers along the way.
You'll also be able to browse my designs here and follow the links directly to my Creative Fabrica shop if you'd like to purchase one.
This little corner of the internet is still growing, and I'm really excited to see what Artistry by Anna becomes.
And when you check out my Creative Fabrica store, ignore the old outdated descriptions saying Do Not re-sell or distribute, unfortunately Creative Fabrica makes it difficult to edit the listing descriptions so I've left it as is, so ignore that! Download and go print and sell without worrying :)
Create something beautiful. Print it. Sell it. Make it yours. š·
